Everything that flies is looking for one. A branch, a sill, a shoulder, a hand held still long enough to be trusted. Flight gets the songs, but every wing is working toward the moment it can stop. A perch asks nothing of what lands on it. It only has to stay where it is and be willing, which is harder than it sounds: most of us reach too fast and frighten off what we wanted. Some of us are still holding out a hand. Some of us are still circling.

About the Artist
There is no name here, and that is on purpose.
A name tells you where to stand before you've looked. It comes with a story, a price history and a face, and the work has to fight its way out from under all of it. Oomlot takes that weight away. What's left is the work, and the work is all there is to go on.
Anonymity isn't hiding. It's freedom. The artist is free to make whatever comes next without having to match the last thing. You're free to meet each piece with nothing between you and it, and to decide what it means without being told.
It also takes nerve. With no name to lean on or hide behind, every piece goes out on its own and is judged on its own. The work keeps going whether anyone applauds or not, because it knows that looking slowly teaches more than being told.
What we can tell you is how the work is made. It's made by hand, honestly, and one piece at a time. Every piece exists once. Nothing is copied, nothing is rushed, and nothing is claimed that the work can't back up. We'd rather show you than sell you.
You won't find a biography. You'll find the marks, the titles and the work itself, still being made.
