Comma

On the work

Of all the marks on a page, a comma is the small breath that says the thought isn't over. Here the word is written out in looping red across deep blue, and the mark it names is nowhere to be found. Without it, the whole canvas becomes that breath, bright and held. The looping letters come from a hand that kept moving while the hours didn't. The line carries on past the edge, and so does the thought.
